From the Pros

“I’ve spent 20 years guiding fly anglers. Most of that time utilizing a boat for transportation purposes and fishing, swinging steelhead flies, from shore. About 3 months a year, I am the oarsman while anglers are throwing poppers, streamers, and dry flies to trout and bass. The rivers I row in the spring are high and a drift boat is such a pleasant craft to fish from. Clean lines make for smooth shooting and flat decks make for stable platforms to double haul.

In the summer months, as the water drops, we switch to running rafts, a safer option when hitting rocks all day. The transition to a raft is sluggish, awkward, and clumsy. Casting from an outdated and archaic setup can be frustrating, from twisted ankles to line catching on everything. Abstract Watercraft has developed a better solution for a raft insert, providing the very best of both worlds! A smooth, sleek, and snag-free interior combined with a raft to bounce down the river in the lowest of flows!

Smooth casting brace, stable standing platform, and the smooth aesthetics? Sign me up!”
